The tried and tested Daimler team took to the start line, Porsche sent an experienced racing team onto the track and the guys from Audi Sport were also hungry for victory at the company kart cup in Liedolsheim on July 18. Probably none of the 16 teams had the team from EVOMOTIV on the screen. The car started with four motivated speed experts. During the 30-minute qualification, the EVO pilots preferred to show the other participants their rear view. Team captain Florian Altschaffel set the second fastest lap, just 0,022 seconds behind. Daimler and Co. were forewarned.
Before the actual start, the racing vehicles were allocated to the teams at random, and then things got serious! A total of 3,5 hours of full throttle, tactics and maximum concentration. After 90 minutes, the first pit stop: refuel, change karts, go. The 34 degrees outside temperature made conditions difficult for the kart drivers - the beads of sweat under their helmets also meant that the race was neck and neck. In the end, Team EVO took second place in the company kart cup, just behind the winning team from Daimler. The silver trophy will soon be given a place of honor in the new company building in Flacht.
