There is something to that. A well-functioning team helps to achieve the company's goals at the end of the year and also has more fun at work. This requires a humane corporate culture that promotes good teamwork.
We were therefore inspired by the model of the American leadership expert Patrick Lencioni.
The basis for a functioning team, as in any good interpersonal relationship, is simply openness and trust. Team members need security. Everyone can freely express their own opinion without fear of being judged. The opinion of every team member is important, is listened to and valued.
This basis enables the team to develop a healthy conflict culture. It provides space for different opinions, which in turn encourages the creativity of the entire team and ultimately the further development of the company.
A great team is committed to each other and helps each other out. You are just having a break before the new year starts, your teammate is overwhelmed with work - maybe you can support them?
This also means having a mutual interest in the respective tasks and the responsibility that comes with them. After all, you are a team and, in addition to individual goals, you also pursue common goals.
After all, who needs a striker who puts everything on the line to become top scorer, but completely ignores the team goal?
