Under this title, on Thursday evening, 12.03.2009, in the rooms of the EVOMOTIV GmbH hosted the kick-off of the “Schluckspecht” project. The “Schluckspecht” has been successfully developed by Offenburg University for 15 years now, so that it can take part in the Shell Eco Marathon every year with great success. Last year it won the fuel cell prototype class with a distance of 3198 km per liter of fuel. The plan is to develop the prototype into a highly efficient, roadworthy lightweight vehicle in close cooperation over the next two years.
The kick-off took place together with Professor Hochberg and some committed students from Offenburg University of Applied Sciences as well as interested customers. The aim was to get to know each other and to present project content and status. Following the presentation of the work packages, small groups of EVOMOTIV-Employees and students of Offenburg University of Applied Sciences have the opportunity to discuss the work packages directly in detail and to coordinate their joint implementation.
Result: EVOMOTIV will be actively involved in the Shell Eco Marathon at the Lausitzring in May 2009.
