SIXTH EVOMOTIV-SKI WEEKEND A COMPLETE SUCCESS
In 2015, EVO once again said “off to the snow”. On the morning of February 6, the first ski and snowboard enthusiasts set off EVOMOTIVler towards Stubaital. All non-early risers set off a little later and reached the Hotel Mutterberg during the course of Friday, which had appeared on the radar of our travel planner Steffen due to its strategically favorable location at the valley station and the 27 EVOMOTIVwinter sports enthusiasts for two days. When we arrived at the hotel, the first thing we did was to use the empty parking lot for a drift or two.
As the glacier greeted us with fog and snow on the day of arrival, we had a long session on the umbrella and in the sauna, but this did not spoil the mood. On the contrary - after an invigorating dinner, the evening really got going in the hotel disco and for some of us didn't end until late at night.
The next morning, the conditions were fantastic - and so, despite the party, almost all of us dragged ourselves out of bed early and made the most of the weather on the slopes until shortly before the lifts closed. After a few drinks, we went to the sauna and whirlpool to regenerate - until the lifeguard came. After the strenuous day, many people weren't really in the mood to party in the evening, so the party was quickly over and attention was turned to the next and unfortunately last day on the slopes of the weekend.
Unfortunately, the weather was the same as when we arrived - fog and snow covered the glacier. Nevertheless, everyone wanted to test the snow again and were motivated accordingly. Unfortunately, the glacier cable car was closed because of the storm, so we had to head home without a final descent. When we got home, everyone was happy to be able to end the evening on the sofa.
Despite the sometimes mixed weather, it was a great active weekend that everyone enjoyed and definitely calls for a sequel. At this point, special thanks again to Steffen Grau for the great organization - we look forward to the next time.
