– but how exactly did the founding process go? The idea for the EVOMOTIV GmbH was founded in a shared apartment on Gymnasiumstrasse in Stuttgart Mitte.
Gerhard, Lukas and Sebastian worked together on the concept. The idea was and is to found a company that combines work with fun and humanity. Unfortunately, the first name idea for the joint company could not be implemented, but Gerhard had a brilliant idea at four in the morning - and EVOMOTIV got a name.
The search for an office proved to be extremely difficult. By chance, we found an office in Echterdingen that was far too big for five people, but very nice. At the official launch, the main focus was on sales and after a short time the first orders were acquired – EVOMOTIV took off. Within six months, the large office with 30 EVOMOTIVlearning filled.
Together we are strong
The first setback for the start-up came with the economic crisis. "Together we are strong" probably describes this time best, because the solidarity among each other meant that all colleagues kept their jobs. At the same time, this difficult time was the birth of today's essential company systems: the career matrix and the training system. After the crisis was overcome, the course was back on growth. In 2015, the company moved into its first own test and development center in Flacht. On the new site with its own workshop and laboratory, complete customer projects can now be processed on site, for example in the areas of FMVSS111 tests, HV or NVH. The future also suggests exciting innovations. This year, the now three-year-old building is being expanded to include a second building next door, which will also include a larger workshop and laboratory space.
