This year, a new EVO event started for the first time - a weekend trip to Area 47. Directly after work on Friday, the group headed south to Austria's largest outdoor leisure park: two days of water fun.
The weather was better than expected, so the glorious seven were able to let off steam on Saturday in bright sunshine while wakeboarding, kneeboarding and waterskiing. Anyone who has ever tried wakeboarding knows the initial effort... Despite many failed attempts, they still had fun. At the end of the day, no one managed to beat the final boss, the wakeboard. The track was easier to navigate with kneeboarding or waterskiing. If the frustration or queues became too great, you could sunbathe in the hammock and watch the pros perform their spectacular maneuvers. Afterwards, of course, the water area was inspected. A DJ provided the right atmosphere there and by chance you also met an EVO alumni. A very tasty meal rounded off the eventful day. Luckily for the football fans among us - despite the announced "digital detox", there was enough internet to follow the exciting 11-meter shoot-out between Russia and Croatia.
On Sunday, the EVOs tested their skills again in the wake area and then headed back home.
The summary: It was great – thanks to everyone for the eventful weekend.
