2020 was a year like no other. Since March, a virus has changed our private and working lives.
How was 2020 for EVOMOTIV?
Fewer meetings and personal exchanges between colleagues, no table tennis, table football and beach volleyball tournaments, no legendary events, no after-work beers and barbecues on the terrace. In general, much of what our EVOMOTIV What makes culture so unique is paused.
However, 2020 also showed us how important reliable teams and team cohesion are, that it works to switch meetings completely online and that even more processes can be digitized. This enabled us to make our everyday work more agile and work from home as much as possible. This meant we could get a "close-up" view of colleagues' private lives. Our meetings had some nice surprise visits: children who wanted to know exactly who their dad was talking to; dogs who dutifully warned about the postman or robot vacuum cleaners who suddenly became obsessed with cleaning.
Our after-work beer on the terrace was transformed into an online after-work beer while walking. In order to replace our events as best as possible, online coffees, online Christmas baking or online games such as exit games, murder mystery dinners or Skribble were launched. This allowed us to EVOMOTIV Maintaining culture as best as possible, even during this special time.
Looking back, we adapted flexibly and quickly to the new situation. One of our strengths. However, we miss our personal meetings at meetings, in the hallway, at the coffee machine or at one of the highly competitive table football tournaments. We are therefore full of hope that 2021 will make personal, carefree meetings with little distance possible again.
