In his bachelor thesis, Boris Kurowski focused on one question: How can EVOMOTIV meet or even exceed the increasing safety requirements?
The magic word is: process maturity models. Automotive SPICE is a widely used standard in the automotive industry that can be used to optimize processes. Such models generally consist of several maturity levels. To reach a higher level, the requirements of both this and the level below must be met. This leads to a continuous improvement process through which product defects are detected at an ever earlier stage and can be corrected with less effort. These maturity models can also be used for benchmarking purposes based on the current state.
Five EVOMOTIV-Projects were selected and analyzed according to Automotive SPICE standards, taking into account the special requirements of an engineering company. The findings were incorporated into a process manual that is intended to serve as a guide for future development projects.
