You can look forward to this
- Create and develop backend system concepts based on product and business requirements.
- Analyze requirements and translate them into scalable system designs and software architectures.
- Design and implement distributed systems based on microservices architecture.
- Integrate and test backend services, APIs, and system components.
- Manage technical development of backend services and supporting infrastructure (eg containerized environments).
- Define technical specifications for services, APIs, and system components.
- Create test, integration, and deployment concepts to ensure system reliability and quality.
- Support technical documentation and contribute to solution proposals and implementation concepts for internal or external stakeholders.
What you bring along
We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer with a strong background in designing and developing scalable backend systems.
Skills:
- Extensive experience (4+ years) in software engineering and development, particularly with Golang, Kubernetes, containerization, and test automation
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience (4+ years) in database design, with PostgreSQL preferred
- Proven experience operating and maintaining distributed production systems based on microservices architecture, including Pub/Sub systems, REST APIs, or Protobuf
Good to have:
- Experience in Java development
- Knowledge or background in geoinformatics
To summarize:
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a comparable technical field.
- 4+ years of experience in backend software engineering, system design, and development of distributed systems.
- Strong experience in designing scalable architectures and implementing microservice-based systems.
- Proven ability to prepare and present technical and solutions to internal teams and stakeholders.
- Experience with production systems and technical responsibility for software components.
- Fluent in English; German is a strong plus.
