Initial situation:
The functionality of vehicle dynamics control systems has grown significantly since the introduction of the anti-lock braking system in the 1970s. The current systems contribute enormously to increasing active safety in road traffic. Due to the vehicle-specific design of the complex systems with their many sub-functions, a high level of development and testing effort is required.
Project assignment:
EVOMOTIV supports the world's leading manufacturer of brake control systems in application and verification - from the time of the first test vehicles to series release. The main functions ABS, ASR and ESP as well as many additional functions, such as trailer sway suppression, are processed.
Implementation:
Driving experience, certified driver qualifications and thorough vehicle knowledge are the basis for system verification. The system and vehicle behavior is verified by the EVOMOTIV-Engineers. This requires knowledge of the system architecture and coordination with software developers. The system is tested in all stages of development through test drives under conditions similar to those in traffic and on international test sites.
Solution:
The EVOMOTIV-Project managers are specialists in each of the individual functions. They are also available across projects for specific problems, whereby colleagues also benefit from a transfer of know-how. At the same time, the EVOMOTIV-Colleagues among themselves in time-critical test scenarios. A smooth process is particularly important in these situations, which is why equipping and preparing the vehicles is part of everyday work.
