- ROBOTICS

In Production 4.0, safe interaction between industrial robots and humans is essential. EVOMOTIV supports customers from the automotive industry in configuring the important safety databases.
Project Details
Initial situation:
For every industrial robot, safety, or more precisely, the integrity of humans and machines, must be guaranteed. If an industrial robot exceeds the limits of the specified workspace, it is automatically stopped. This is ensured by safety databases that must be individually configured for each robot and exported in a form that the user can read. These XML exports can be centrally controlled and evaluated by the user across different robots, and can also be compared and versioned by machine.
Project assignment:
Support for XML export of the safety configuration when the robot is restarted or when the safety configuration is changed.
Implementation:
A specification was created based on a feasibility analysis that took all interfaces and libraries into account. The software (C#) developed on this basis was then verified for the successful XML export of the safety data.
Solution:
The safety configuration is exported each time the robot is restarted and when changes are made to the safety configuration.
