By setting up a customer-specific test bench, fully automated testing with defined current profiles for fuses was made possible. The recording and evaluation of the measurement data provide a deeper insight into the aging behavior of the fuses, which leads to improved parameterization of the service life model.
Project Details
Initial situation:
The challenge is to ensure that fuses operate reliably under certain current profiles. This project focuses on analyzing the aging process and developing measures to address this challenge.
Project assignment:
Cyclic exposure of fuses to defined current profiles to determine their aging. The tasks include setting up a customer-specific test bench, programming a fully automated test procedure and carrying out customer measurements with six test objects simultaneously.
Implementation:
The implementation is carried out by setting up a tailor-made test bench, including programming software for automated test runs. After commissioning with dummy measurements, the actual customer measurement is carried out with different current profiles for the six test objects. Measured variables such as temperature and voltage are recorded accurately and monitored with regard to limit specifications. Finally, comprehensive results reports are created.
Solution:
The results of the project show an improved parameterization of the lifetime model for fuses. The methodical approach enables a precise recording of the aging behavior of the fuses under different conditions.
