Project Details
Initial situation:
High-voltage batteries are complex applications with a multitude of requirements that describe the entire functionality conclusively and in detail. For a certified development process, consistent traceability from requirements through implementation and test specification is required.
Project assignment:
For a customer in the electromobility industry, Evomotiv has been commissioned to develop functional models of HV battery components in order to improve the quality of the specifications and achieve consistent traceability.
Implementation:
After analyzing the requirements for HV battery components, these were divided into functional groups and individual modules. Using MATLAB/Simulink, executable functional models were developed and linked to the requirements of the specifications. Generated test cases ensure consistency and serve as the basis for the test specification to be created.
Solution:
With the help of the functional models created, definition gaps in the requirements could be identified and closed. The models serve as a starting point for code generation, so that they can be used directly in the implementation. Modularization and the focus on functional modeling enable simple exchange and easy adaptation to different battery projects.
