Initial situation:
Increasing engine power and higher engine torques place a great deal of strain on clutches and dual-mass flywheels. The resulting challenge in terms of comfort, noise levels and durability must be overcome.
Project assignment:
Mission of the EVOMOTIV GmbH is to carry out, supervise and evaluate complete vehicle, test bench and component tests. The procurement of parts and the coordination of modifications prior to the relevant tests are just as much a part of the scope of work as the independent execution of the tests.
Implementation:
In order to ensure compliance with the applicable quality standards, tests are carried out in each development phase to determine shifting comfort and pedal feel. Measurement data is recorded using appropriate measuring systems and evaluated using analysis tools. Endurance runs on the test bench and in the entire vehicle provide information on the durability and signs of wear of the components. By examining the components, possible defects are identified in the early development phases and can be remedied before series production begins.
Solution:
The recorded measurement data are processed and presented to appropriate committees in which solutions or component changes are discussed and decided upon.
