In this project, where the safety of the HV battery outputs was central, the challenge was to specify and procure a power distribution unit. The requirements, which were defined according to aviation standards, represented a complex task.

To secure the HV battery outputs, the customer needs support in specifying and procuring a power distribution unit. The challenge here lies in the novelty of the battery-electric drive train for aviation. A solution is achieved through our many years of experience in the electrification of road traffic and sensible conclusions. The development processes and normative specifications of aviation (e.g. ARP 4754A, DO-160, etc.) are applied.
Project assignment:
We identify qualified suppliers who can develop individual pieces and prototypes and who meet the strict DO-160 requirements. By requesting quotes and carefully comparing offers, we ensure high quality and cost-effectiveness in procurement.
Implementation:
All functional and safety requirements were compiled. The requirements were then formulated using appropriate methods (e.g. FTA).
Solution:
As a result, manufacturers of aviation equipment were approached with the Equipment Specification to obtain offers.
