- Automated driving

Driver assistance systems are intended to support the driver, especially in stressful and dangerous situations, or to offer more comfort. EVOMOTIV is responsible for collecting training data on the reference route in order to optimize the algorithm for detecting hands-off situations.
Project Details
Initial situation:
Driver assistance systems are designed to support the driver, especially in stressful and dangerous situations, or to provide more comfort. One assistance system that combines both criteria is adaptive cruise control including steering assistance. This provides the driver with the greatest possible support without leaving them out. Due to several serious accidents involving such systems, certain certification-relevant standards and laws have been introduced.
Project assignment:
Collecting training data on the reference track to optimize the algorithm for detecting hands-off.
Implementation:
The necessary requirements for this system have been laid down in standards and laws such as the European Agreement ECE R79. Based on these requirements, it is necessary to comply with certain limit values and to compare these by entering training data. The entry always takes place on the same reference route, which includes city, country and motorway journeys. A corresponding final report is created after each training journey.
Solution:
Based on the training data collected, the customer can adjust the tested system in the best possible way.
