We are proud to be part of a great project in Cameroon! Together with the association Help for Self-Help Cameroon – Ghaame Nji eV we are committed to better living conditions, education and health.
The non-profit organization was founded in 2021 by Alima and Jochen. Their goal is to improve the life prospects of people in Cameroon in the long term and to enable them to live an independent and socially secure life. What is particularly impressive is that 100 percent of the donations go directly to local projects.
Challenges in Cameroon and the work of the association
The Foumban region in western Cameroon, where Alima is from, is facing major challenges. Refugees from the northwest of the country in particular, fleeing conflicts and extremist groups, live in makeshift settlements under difficult conditions. A key issue is access to clean drinking water, as diseases such as malaria, typhoid and cholera are often caused by contaminated water.
The association Help for Self-Help Cameroon – Ghaame Nji eV has already achieved considerable success since its foundation:
-Construction of 43 wells that provide thousands of people with access to clean drinking water.
– Construction of an educational building to support children and adults.
The association plans to build an education and health center in 2025 that will not only provide medical care but also educational opportunities for children and adults.
EVOMOTIVs contribution to sustainable development in Cameroon
Through a personal connection with Jochen Höfliger, the cooperation between EVOMOTIV and the association. The first donation was used specifically for two central projects:
– The construction of a well that will supply clean drinking water to a new settlement about 10 kilometers outside of Foumban.
– The construction of an education and health centre, in particular to set up a computer room.
In January 2025, the groundbreaking ceremony for the new well took place, which will give 1.500 residents access to fresh water. The well not only reduces water-related diseases by up to 70 percent, but also makes everyday life easier for the villagers. Children and young people can go to school again because they no longer have to spend hours fetching water from distant sources.

Education and Health: A Step into the Future
The education and health centre creates a place that combines a variety of functions:
Education: Children and adults have access to basic education and IT skills. EVOMOTIV supports this initiative by donating laptops to enable students to receive digital education.
Health: Medical care is provided on site, while educational work promotes disease prevention.
Sustainability through local initiative
A crucial factor for the success of the projects is the involvement of the local population. The construction of the well and other facilities is carried out by local people. This creates jobs and strengthens the community's sense of ownership.
Creating Perspectives Together
Our partnership with Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe Kamerun – Ghaame Nji eV stands for sustainable development and real change. Together with the association, we are helping to create long-term prospects for the people of Cameroon and sustainably improve their living conditions.
We will report on progress regularly.
